    PC Speed 4, or 5, I would use a yellow polishing pad.

      Heavy polishing - yellow polishing pad, DA speed 4 (Flex speed 2.5-3);
      light polishing/ gloss restoration - black finishing pad, DA speed 3 (Flex speed 2).

        I'm hoping Murr jumps into this discussion as he recommends ColorX often and has expertise with it's use.

        I would suggest if you can afford two pads, a Meg yellow and black will meet your needs. For me, ColorX is very forgiving with both variations of speed and pressure. I'd use the yellow pad with a medium to high speed of 4-5 for correction and the black pad a little slower speed for putting on ColorX for it's wax properties.

        It smells great and goes on and off easily. A great product, that produces a great shine.

          Good advice given thus far, but we'd like to suggest you also clay this car if you don't already plan on doing so. If it hasn't been waxed and it's 4 years old, it's most likely going to benefit noticeably from a clay treatment prior to the application of ColorX.

            When I use ColorX it is usually by hand, just trying to do something quick.

            But yeah, great product.

              ColorX is great by hand. Follow up with NXT2.0 for the real wow factor. You havent mentioned colour of the car but on black or red you cant go wrong.
