Maybe, maybe not.
It is the best place to start, since you will want a glass cleaner anyway.
If that doesnt work, try claying. Claying worked for me.
It gets a little tricky after that.

Vinegar worked great for me! Mixed it about 1:1 with water. Guess you could use it straight too.

umm... scratchX! It has enough 'bite' to remove water spots safely.
You left out licking the water off. Oh, wait a minute, that's my cat, not my car. Uh, I mean my cat licks himself dry. I don't lick my cat dry. Or my car. -PC.
Maybe u can use DC1 and try. But Vincent over here in Pg. The detailing shop at PISA does water mark removal. They charge RM90 for the job. I think its for all the windows. Since using the rubbing compound onto my glass, it did remove 90% of the water "spots" but when it rains it does still have some water "marks" left. I even use a glass polish on the glass. Since the rubbing compound do leave some very-very fine swirls like effect on my glass. I don't dare to use it again. Hehehe. So this weekend I'll be trying DC1. Let you know how it turns out. I did think of using ScratchX but I try DC1 first.
