Thanks! That is what is worrying me. There were no scratches there at all before they painted. The other side is less obvious scratches and just hazy. There is also some very light haze on the front where they painted How long should I wait to try?

The images are good. Yet seeing in person can provide more information.
In your close up image, the scratches appear to be randomly varied. In a blended area, prep is still important. I would have expected any sanding marks to be much more parallel than what is seen in that image. Hopefully these...Leave a comment:
