The weather finally cooled off but that also meant the sun never really came out so we really needed auxiliary lighting to see what sort of damage were up against on our demo car. None of that dampened the spirits of the class, however, and we had a great time!
Our demo car for the day was a 2009 Pontiac G8 (Holden Commodore to our Aussie members) and it was in serious need of some swirl removal.

The hood had been repainted, along with a couple of panels on the passenger side of the car, and those areas were all in need of some light wet sanding and buffing to really bring out the clarity and gloss. We only demonstrated UWWA and claying on the hood (of course we waxed it after that) and did the buffer demo on the driver's side doors.

The hood was in desperate need of claying, and since some of the attendees had never clayed before it was a great opportunity for them to see just how easy and effective the process is.

Putting Ultimate Compound to work with a W8207 foam polishing pad and the G110v2 DA buffer.

Remember, this is what we started with.....

....here we are doing an IPA wipedown to remove any possible compound residue that might be hiding the swirls.....

..... and here's the area after UC - no more swirls!

Time to let the attendees try the G110v2, starting with the car owner, Dan.

Close inspection, pointing out a RID or two.

Zoltan insisted on holding up the halogen work light, and who are we to argue?

Hands on training, as per usual.

Thanks to everyone for coming out on a cloudy Saturday and helping to make this another great day in Meguiar's Garage!
