Pictures from April 16th, 2011 - Saturday Open Class
Thanks Mike! Great class and got a nice shine on the Lexus. Now I feel prepared to finish the rest and the Vette and I won't wait 2 years to do it. Also saw some nice Mustangs today. Very cool cars!
Wish I could attend more, you need to open a NorCal office. Or maybe another bug filled road trip? Later.
It was a pleasure meeting you and have a safe drive back. I hope your wife likes the result on the Lex and put some before and after shots of the Vette

You guys were awesome and made this class a real treat for me personally, and for Meguiar's in general. The passion shown by all was great to see! We've moved your comments into this thread and will have images posted in just a few minutes.

Yep, Mustangs were out in force over the weekend, and a gorgeous weekend it was, too. Thanks to everyone who came out for spending such a perfect day hanging out in Meguiar's garage - we really do appreciate it!
No, it's not a police cruiser, but it sure gets people to slow down on the freeway!
Mechanical horsepower, in more ways than one! The owner of this car won the vehicle with this paint job already on the sides (plus a carbon fiber hood and trunk). And this was a beautifully done paint job, too - the talent behind it is something to be admired, whether this is your cup of tea or not.
But there were a lot of cars with various paint issues too.
This ended up being our demo vehicle - a 2001 Lexus with over 120,000 miles on the clock. And a lot of issues in the paint! Swirls, cobwebs, scratches, holograms, water spots. Oh my!
So with a vehicle selected we ran through the classroom portion of the day, had a quick lunch, and got to work. First we did some light claying - it wasn't horrible, but it did need it.
Then we did our usual two test spots - one by hand and one with the G110v2. In both cases we used the same product combination: Ultimate Compound, Ultimate Polish, Ultimate Wax.
With the demo done we pulled the car back into the sunshine to inspect the work.
Still a few light marks left behind on the hand applied section on the left, and of course the deeper pits are still there, but look at the improvement even a quick demo yields!
Swirls, holograms, water spots - GONE!
Then it was time to put the G110v2 into the hands of the students and get the rest of the hood corrected.
A final group reflection shot to close the day.

Thanks for a very informative class. I don't own any hot rod or exotic cars, but it was still fun to learn the proper techniques on how to maintain a car's condition so I can take care of my daily commuter ('00 Camrey) and our family vehicle ('11 Sienna).
