Our Club's Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort

Well, our Club's (the NY/NJ Slant-Six Club of America) 18th annual 'Picnic/Meet' has come and gone, and thanks to some advertising, some extra help publicizing our event, and great participation on the part of the attendees, we achieved, what for our little Meet, was a record '50/50' pot of $102.00, half of which went to the 'Red Cross' for 'Hurricane Katrina' relief. I know $51.00 doesn't sound like much, but the way I see it, every little bit helps, and I'm proud that our Club was able to be a part of trying to help those who really needed it most.

Currently I'm working on linking up with a local 'Ronald McDonald House' charity for next year's event.
