  • Re: What do you drive? Lets see a picture!

This is my wifes ride, I drive it mostly though, gets horrible gas mileage... But we love it. It's a 2000 GMC Yukon SLE. Ultra Wheels and Les Schwab Open Country tires. It's maintained pretty good. I did this by hand once. That was a long day but looked good!

This is our commuter car, 2005 Dodge Neon SXT. We get an average of 36mpg and have gotten an average of 39 and a high of 41mpg. Not bad! It's Orange Blast and I maintain it with nothing but Meguiars of course.

This is my baby, it's got an owie right now but will be fixed someday soon. it's a '64 Chevy C-10 with a transplanted 350(burnt valve). I knew a little about mechanics and learned more when I got this ride. I pulled the old motor, dropped in the new (old) motor, blew the rear end out, replaced it. I had the transmission back stripped and put it back together AND the coil spring didn't fly out and break my arm or worse! The wife bought me a wood grant steering wheel and a tach, how cool is that. The camper is going soon as the kids are growing up and gonna redo her soon hopefully. Got 1 in college and 2 in high school and 2 left in jr. high.

This is my step son's truck. we are going to do a full on use a gallon of 80 on the paint. Did a test spot on the hood and it has great potential and a good time to teach the lad how to maintain the paint. It needs some body work and the floorboards are rotted out (flintstone truck) but runs good and best yet, it's his great grandpa's truck, bought brand new. It's a '66 Dodge D100 with a 318. He wants to keep it stock. I showed him what headers will look like. Shoulda seen his face! LOL.

I reposted as my photos disappeared on my earlier post.

I love this thread. You all have some nice rides.

Since I first posted to this thread a little more than two years ago a couple of things have changed.

First, I bought and subsequently sold this very clean 1987 Chrysler Fifth Avenue. It had 248,000 miles on it, one owner, and I had plans to give it a major refreshening but things got busy and I just couldn't find the time any longer. I ended up selling it for more than I paid, so alls well that ends well I suppose!

More importantly I no longer have the 1999 Mazda Miata. It's been replaced by a Crossfire Crossfire Limited Roadster and I couldn't be happier. What a blast this car is, especially on a road course!!

My red one from around 20 pages ago doesn't show up any more (just a little box with a red cross?) but no matter, because Meguiars is keeping a new one looking good now anyway

This is my 2007 Toyota Tundra Double Cab. It's 2wd with the 4.7L V8. The color is Slate Metallic.

The thing that strikes me about most of these posts (other then the finish you guys get - another level from mine, but I'm working on it) is the size - they all just seem so huge.... you must have double the metal to work on, and mine wears me out

Well, I've acquired another vehicle since my last post in this thread: a 1996 BMW R1100RT. "Mods" include: highway pegs by Burton Briggs, 3M Scotch Brite reflective sheeting for the saddle bags, PIAA running lights, Hyper Lights (auxiliary flashing LED brake lights), BMW Comfort Seat (touring seat), Cee Bailey's windshield, and I've converted my front turn signals to low intensity running lights/high intensity turn signals (for better visibility from the front). I'm thinking about getting an air horn (I love the look on people's faces when they hear an air horn coming from a bike, but the main reason is for safety) and clear turn signal covers. I've put about 12,000 miles on it since I got it in March this year. I don't have a picture of my bike, but here is a random picture from the 'net with a bike that looks a lot like mine.

                    Right now...:'( my 2008 accord.
I didn't want to drive it until summer, but I have a screw in my front driverside tire on the 2003 accord.
