When your friends look at you like your crazy when you tell them a joke off of this thread, and you don't understand why they don't think it's funny. It's happened more than once...

            Might of been said:

When you are going to tow your toy box trailer/truck to Glamis (So. Cal. sand dunes), and you HAVE to wash/wax before so you look good the first two minutes there before the dust attacks and you look no better than the guy who last washed his rig three years ago....

When you wax the rear leaf springs of your pickup truck

When you wax the spare rim underneath your truck no one else sees.

Waxed door frames and fender wells are not freaky, at least at this site/lol.

When you use the 4 bucket wash method (two for washing the paintwork, two for the tire and wheel assemblies).

When you put the vehicle up on jackstands so you can crawl underneath and powerwash the undercarriage.

When you drive out miles of your way to avoid road construction.

When you swerve to avoid a puddle.

When you consider going "off road" to be parking on the grass.

When you pick pebbles out of the your vehicle's tire treads so they don't chip your paintwork

When you leave your "baby" in the garage and take the daily driver if there is even a hint of rain or snow in the forecast... and cringe because it is raining or snowing on your detailed daily driver.

When you carry a "detailing first aid kit" of QD, CCD's for interior and extrerior, microfiber towels, glass cleaner, leather wipes, tire shine and a rechargeable dustbuster vacuum in the vehicle.

When you examine your vehicle every time you leave it after parking and again when you return.

                    when...
you park your car and it takes you half an hour to get into the store because you keep turning back to see the sun set reflection off your freshly detailed car

when you constantly remind your passangers that before they get in to feel how smooth the paint feels

or when you look like this guy (and you all know you have done this)...

You give detailing lessons in the highschool parking lot.

You cringe at other peoples swirl marks/fallout/yellowed headlights.

It had to be a very important errand, to make it nesecary to expose the car to paint finish horrors (dust, sunlight etc.)

When you have own more supplies to clean a car than to clean your house and keep up with personal hygiene.

When you own Black Z71 that does go offroad, because you are more than confident in your ability to face up to the challenge of making it look good again.

When you polish bathroom fixtures with chrome and metal polish.

When you buy a new bottle of wax to compare it to something you already have.

When you can't wait for the weather to get above 50 so you don't get pneumonia washing you car.

If you've ever gotten pneumonia(or the flu for that matter) from washing a car in sub 50 degree weather.

You take a vacation day from work to detail your truck.

You celebrate your birthday with an 8 hour truck detail.
