  • Any hits about Meguiar's 2013 product lineup?

    Hey everyone,

I know it's a little early but I was already thinking about 2013, does anyone happen to know what kind of new products or improved products that the folks at Meguiar's are going to come out with? And what kind of awesome new scents will they add to their new products?! Thoughts? Thanks guys!

Sure we know about all kinds of cool stuff in the works for 2013 - and by "we" I mean certain employees here at Meguiar's, not MOL forum members. Some of us have been involved in testing with some of the products, giving feedback to R&D along the way. Heck, some of these products may not even be 2013 products, they could be even farther away from release than that.

But this is what we do here all the time, every year. And, as you might imagine, this is all the information you're going to get out of me on this topic because I'd like to keep my job!!! We'll have our usual "teaser" posts later in the year, and full introduction of new products during SEMA, the first week in November (and given how ridiculously fast this year seems to be going, November will be here before you know it!).

Just speculating here but maybe a coating like Meguiar's Deep Crystal that is out overseas now? M101 or something similar? A cordless DA! lol

So what do you all think is coming? What type of product do we want or need?

I hope that Meguiar's produces a wheel brush, I know that they had 2 in the past, but they have been unavailable for a few years. I think that a wheel brush is a necessity for any car detailing company such as Meguiars.
Edit: I too think that something similar to Meguiar's Deep Crystal would be available. Perhaps a product that is less geared towards acid protection, and better engineered for longevity.

Maybe a slight reformulation for the ultimate liquid wax, or maybe somthing ultimate for tires.

I would love to see a new nano pad for claying

After using one of those WOW
claying is a time consuming boring part of the job that is essential

putting a 5" pad on the DA and wetting down a section and going for it is SO much faster

Personally I would love to see the following:

                      - M101 released in the US
                      - 5.5" foam pads
                      - A 3rd polish to compliment M105/M205 equal to Menzerna PO85RD
                      - Leather cleaner foam
                      - Tweaked Gold Class Shampoo
                      - 2000, 2500, 4000 grit sanding and finishing discs
                      - Nano paint coating
                      - Tire brush
                      - Wheel brush
                      - Revised M16

A few weeks ago I found a old can of Gold Class Rich Leather Foam Cleaner/Conditioner in the back of my product shelf. I've been using it on everything, I love the foam!

How about a version of M105 with some added glaze for badly dried and oxidized SS paint and a longer working time.

Also a 4" true wool compounding "cut and shine" pad for small panels that works with the existing 3" backing plate would be unbelievably awesome
