  • receiving car care products as gifts...

I have once received a turtle wax and then an armor all gift pack with things like glass wipes, car wash, tire foam, vinyl cleaner and a yellow sponge. It was from family members because they know I like to keep my car clean. It was a nice thought and I didn't want to throw it away so I found other uses for them. I use the car wash and sponge on my wheels & tires, vinyl cleaner on wheel wells, glass wipes on the outside glass and throw out the tire foam (cuz I use gel). Anyone else ever received car products as a gift but you didn't necessarily want to use them?

Yep. I received a long handle car wash brush as a birthday gift from my wife. It is stiff brush which certainly will create swirl on paint. It is too long for wheel and too big for wheel wall. I still haven't figure out what to do with it. Maybe it is her revenge on the gift I gave her.

People that know me know better than to purchase detailing products for me. Like you, I find some use for odds and ends.

Tire foam is handy for wheel wells. Armor All TF actually has some cleaning properties and is excellent for underhood pads. **** on tires though, IMO.
