  • Off The Wall Carpet Question

New 2011 Nissan 370Z. Came with a carpeted trunk mat that was rolled tightly. I unrolled it but it had been rolled so tight that it wouldn't lay flat and a couple of corners curled up. I stretched it out on the kitchen floor and used some Pepsi refrigerator packs as weights and left it for 3 days. The mat lays pretty flat now except for one corner that still curls up. Any idea how I can get the carpet to lay flat and get rid of the curls?

Velcro. get some from the store, ones with adhesive backings.

otherwise maybe iron the carpet and starch it.

Might have to go the Velcro route. The carpet has a pretty stiff, thick backing and I'm not even sure Velcro will hold it down.

Lay it face down on a tarp in the sun? Assuming the the underside is black..........uh,
        It's October in Washington....never mind.

How about put it face down on the garage floor. Put a kids blow up pool on top. Run a hose from the water heater and fill up the pool. Weight + heat + time?????
