ordered monroe quick struts...question

i ordered 4 quick struts for my 06 sentra, the front quick struts have differenet part numbers for left and right but the rears have the same part as seen in the link above. my question is do you see at the bottom of the coil that sleeve around the bottom of the coil, when i got my quick struts only one quick strut had it none of the others do, does anyone know why thats there, is it to protect it when shipping or is it a part of the quick strut, you cant just pull it off to remove it it needs to be cut and like i said only one the rear qucik struts had it and the other didnts and neither of the fronts had it.

Hmmm, check with a local Monroe shop and ask them. I'm guessing you mail ordered them... so (if it were me) ask them like you don't have them on hand. Make sense?

Im not exactly sure why the one has a sleeve around it. For the front having different part numbers, that is to identify which one goes where on the front. One is a left front application and the other is for the right front. The rear dosent make a difference where they go.

i know, i was just wondering why one would have sleeve around it and one wouldn't, ill see what monroe says tomorrow.
