    Is this true?

    Was recently told by someone, that "everyone thinks you're an arrogant and whiny," and just curious if this is something you guy see in me? The internet can be an extremely violent place when someone doesn't understand there is no emotion within text, and I'll admit that I have blown my cool over stupid stuff over the years, but I just don't see myself as any of what I was described. Just curious if this is something you guys notice in me?

    I've only been here for a short time, but IMO, if you were an "arrogant , whiney ...." here, you wouldn't have all those green squares below your name.

      You absolutely are not

      I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.
      I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
      Remove swirls my friends.

        I agree with Andrew, oh wait he was being sarcastic.

        Having met you in person a few times and via online I don't see you as being arrogant or whiny. Someone was probably upset about something to say anything like that.

                    Interesting. Arrogant people usually don't whine about stuff - they think they know it all. Whiny people seem to think the world is out to get them and so they lack swagger. They seem to be almost mutually exclusive, so it's hard to imagine you're both. Or either, actually.

                    Was this comment made about you publicly, or in a PM or other private communication? Was it made by someone on this forum or on another forum? If on another, we might even be able to guess who made the comment - which says a lot. About that other person.

                    And you're right, it can be very difficult to get a point across online as tone and inflection are generally nowhere to be found. And some people take certain things way too personally, over react, etc.

                    But whiny and/or arrogant? You? No.

                      No way, you spend so much time and effort uploading superb photos and sharing your knowledge with amateur enthusiasts like me, my cars have never looked so good with everything I have learnt from this forum,
                      I have always been known by my friends for having a clean car, but detailing now I feel confident to get out the DA, and do it right has taken it to a new level !
                      My father commented at the weekend "Wow what have you done to the car"

                        No Nick. You are not arrogant. I know arrogant people. One of my best friends is perhaps one of the most arrogant people you will meet in your lifetime. But, he is also a nice person once you atually get to know him. Anyway, I don't see arrogance and whiny in you. I see confidence which you well deserve!!!!!

                          I am rather new to this forum and am so impressed with your knowledge and willingness to help and/or share information. Arragont? Whiney? No, those are not words I would use to describe you. You just keep on being the great guy you are and don't worry about what others say/think. They are probably insanely jealous. Though I live in Tulsa, my heart is still in Fort Worth (lived there for 22 years). On one of my future visits to Fort Worth/Dallas I hope to be able to visit with you. Thanks for all you do supporting this forum.

                            Being knowledgeable, conversant and well-versed in a specific topic or area of endeavor is often mistaken as arrogant. I should know…it's never happened to me.

                            Besides isn't the arrogant thing something to do with Texas…bigger - better?

                            Whiny…often confused with, "stop wine'ng and hand me a beer". Perhaps you heard wrong!

                              This is someone from another forum that said this about me, in what I'm concluding was a personal attack. But if one person can think that way, there's bound to be another, and if it becomes consistent, then I have a problem.

                              On a personal level, I don't put a lot of stock into what one single person thinks about me. But as a business owner, I really have to watch how I'm perceived in the world. Whether it be online or in person. I've learned a lot over the years(usually the hard way), but I'd like to believe that I've handled myself pretty well overall, and have a reputation as a semi good person. Not reaching for a pat on the back, just stating my opinion of myself. I just needed to know that this is an isolated thing and not something that you all think in the backs of your minds.
