Import. I've owned more imports than domestics. Domestics just seem to be too bland for me. And the quality of imports (the ones I've owned) is head and shoulders above domestics. This is all, of course, just my opinion.
ColinA common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

I had older domestic vehilces in the past (late 1980-early 1990s) that were substandard and turned my off to domestics for several years. Right now, I would by either without a second thought (domestic car company reliability/quality very close to imports. Ther quality gap has effectively closed between them).
I have had 2 late model GM trucks and 1 Ford truck with great relaibility
I have had a 1993 Subaru that had 280K until it was rear ended and a 2001 Mitsubishi that I recently sold with 180k on it.
I had an early 1990's Saab that was incredibly reliable.
When shopping for a newer car, I search endlessly on vehicle specific forums.Comment

My main company is Ford but i have always loved Dodge too, my first car was a chrysler and now i have another car (72Dart Swinger) made by them and love it as a daily driver, but my Fords are my weekend toys. I had a MK1 GTI all tricked out but it had a huge repair, my ecu and emission control was shot and it was going to cost around 2k to fix it so i went back to my roots of domesticsAlex

What do you mean Import or Domestic? What are you considering a BMW or Mercedes? Usually an import is considered from Japan or elsewhere While a BMW/Mercedes is considered Euro. In your poll I voted other because BMW's would fall into the other category since Euro's arent listed.Practice doesn't make perfect, the dedication to achieve perfection makes perfect. "Smack"
