Re: Manufacturer Agreement to Never Polish/Wax?

This brings to mind a couple of situations we've encountered in our Customer Call Center in recent months:

A guy calls up furious that Deep Crystal Polish made his new matte black paint job on his Civic start to shine up. Seriously.

A guy sent in an email with a picture of a gorgeous customized Porsche 911 Turbo with matte black paint. He said he loved the way it looked but suddenly realized a potential issue: "I may have just shot myself in the foot. I can't really polish out fine scratches in this paint without creating a shiny spot, can I?" was his question. You can probably guess the answer.

In my books, buying or owning a car with a matte finish is negligent behavior.
