My wife likes her car clean, but she doesent care it it shines or not. My daughters on the other hand wont clean there cars just to spite me . One daughter says that the rain will clean her car , and the other says that it not important to keep a car clean. She keeps her car like she keeps her house "dirty". At least my son keeps his car clean.

Are the stages the same for a wife who does the cars while the husband doesn't care and sticks his head in the garage every once and a while to see if I'm still alive, and the kids scream "Mom you just washed it the other day!!!".

          Glad you enjoyed it.

For the record, my detailing isn't causing any problems at home. My wife is actaully happy that I have found an outlet for my stress. I find detailing to be very relaxing and my wife likes the fact that I am keeping the cars looking good.

This was intended to be a joke, based on actual events that I figure had probably happened to some of ya'll at some point and that people here would relate.

I think stages one & two are universal. Beyond that, it becomes a very customized experience with differing results

As for the kids I understand. I think my 11 year old son is trying to kill me. He said the other day washing that car 5 times in a year was enough

At least if she does that, we hope she takes the crappy products we bought to try and didn't really like.
Many fear divorce due to the expense. However, it can be worth every penny. You just have to look at it as an investment. Kind of like a happiness tax.

Is the former or reformed as in I learned my lesson? LOL

Divorce isn't too bad. It's better than spending the rest of your life with the wrong person. If you have no assets and can go to court pro se, it's not even that expensive. Best $150 I ever spent.

Not to worry, if you have assets you won't when you walk out of the courthouse.

How common is that! I'm not married or have any daughters/sons, but I take care of the cars of my family. My father also despises my detailing hobby, he never cleans his car and he says hurtful comments about my hobby such as "a sponge and dishwashing soap is good enough, that's how I've always done it" and similar things. My brother doesn't care about detailing but he likes his car clean, and my mother would never clean her car, but she realy appreciates it when I do it.
