I thought it was you starting up a shop.

The best advice would come from members that already have shops. I think you could have a pretty good idea

KC. Time is Money! If you want to open a shop, you should use products that allow you to maximize your results without reducing the quality of your work!

As already stated, you are already using some of the most versatile products. The all-in-one D151 you are so in love of is an excellent product. This reduces storage space necessity. I like what you are doing with the D151. You use it with different pad combinations to achieve the results you want! That is brilliant!

Get lots of towels, lots of pads. To prevent down time! An extra rotary is also essential to eliminate time wasted on changing backing plates.

Some 2000-2500grit Unigrit sandpaper to remove deep scratches is also a must. Wetsanding to remove deep scratches is so much easier than passing the scratch with the rotary 4-6 times.

Besides time, space and storage is also money $$$$$...

Products that can be diluted, like those in the Meguiar's Detailer are an excellent choice in your case! The Meguiar's Detailer line of products reduce storage clutter and can be purchased in high volume. Also they are also extremely cheap.

It will be very $$$ if you only use Meguiars.

                          How about mixing things up?

Maybe buy some reliable brands that are cheap in Asia, and use them for customers that have "daily drivers" and don't really mind how "shiny" their car is.

UNLESS all your customers are car crazy?!

Consider your target market and the type of service you will provide and move on from there. Invest in quality products and/or tools.

If you're talking about opening a Meguiars Detailing Centre then that's another story and I'll let the official reps for Msia/Spore to explain and give out the details.

I have discussed with the a few people (Msia/Spore) with regards to opening up a Meguiars Detailing Centre. Lots of stuff to purchase and lots of requirements to fulfill. Cant wait to get my house done and focus back on my main plan.
