    Interesting...

Todd did a write-up about a GTR a while back on autopia:

I own a Meguiars badged PC 7335 which I've had for a few years but never used. I notice the current PC's being recommended are the 6" variety, while mine has a 5" counterweight - other than that, are there any differences between the 7335 and the 7424/7336? Is it ok to run a 6" backing plate...

I wonder if that car had the same issues you encountered?

Whatever the case, I doubt I would like the "self healing" paint... I mean, to what degree does it heal? It seems that if a scratch has a sharp edge it would not flow out as easily as a mark created by a shopping cart's grid, or a car door bumping the paint.

So should it be called self-destruction paint?

So soft, wax and a finishing pad marred the paint. Hand waxing with a microfiber applicator pad, left scratches and swirls. Wiping down after the job was complete left so many swirls that "after" shots are embarrasing to post.

    Nissan self healing paint...

I learned a very hard and valuable lesson this week. Before you quote a car with self healing paint, please do a test spot and make sure you can get quality results.

Nissan GTR's all have Self healing paint, and this one was EXTREMELY difficult! A little over 6 hours just to figure out a tool/pad/product combo that would leave it in the condition that I wanted it, and it still wasn't up to my standards(not that that means anything).

Just an FYI for you guys. BEWARE OF THE GTR'S!!!!! They are the devil!!!!!!!!

    That is all...
