Over the weekend I tried out some Chemical Guy's Citrus Wash and Clear to remove all previous wax on my truck without having to use a non-car wash soap like dawn.
While using it at first, I thought it wasn't working. I finished washing and began my final rinse by sheeting the water off, which really started to frustrate me because it was sheeting that well at all. I then realized that it was because of lack of wax on my truck. Well after drying I looked at my tailgate handle and it was full of white wax all over it. Looks like I was too lazy one day to take it off and just kept it covered up with GC trim detailer. The CG citrus wash obviously removed not only wax, but extra trim dressing as well.
Overall, I was very impressed with this product. What I am wondering though is, say I use a Meguiar's Car Wash like GC or NXT and mix it 2 ounces to 1 gallon, will it strip the wax and still be safe to use, just as CG citrus wash did?
A few side notes: I used a pencil eraser to remove the wax on the tailgate handle and it worked great. I'll get the pics up later.
I also tried out CG Jet Seal and CG 5050 on top of it. To be honest, I cannot tell any difference between the two and M26 on top of M21. It could be that my paint isn't the best to do a comparison on due to color (charcoal, which is hard to even see dirt on). I'll have to test it out on a few different colors, with and without fleck in the paint to see what it looks like. As for my personal vehicle, not worth the extra money, but it could potentially look better on other colors
