  • Supreme Shine Protectant Bottle

I was wondering if anyone has had issues with their SSP bottle. I keep a little kit in my truck at all times with consumer line products as follows: SSP, Quik Interior Detailer, UQW, UQD, SwirlX, ScratchX 2.0, UC, and Hot Shine Tire Gel Kit, and Gold Class Soap, plus GG and wash mitt. All over the products are on their side, and the only bottles that seemed to leak were the SSP and Hot Shine Tire Gel. But I was mainly worried about SSP, I bought it from two different places and they both leaked....I was wondering if any one else had this problem...No other bottle has leaked on it side..Thanks

Supreme Shine Protectant hasnt leaked on me. Maybe try pouring it into a different empty consumer line bottle, if you have a few lying around.

I haven't had a bottle that leaked yet, but a recent bottle of Quik Wheel Detailer leaks on me...

Just curious, do these have the same type sprayer as QD? I know most of the sprayers use a locking / tightening technology to prevent spillage.

The biggest problem I have with the consumer line bottles is they always explode in the bottom corners when dropped. To Megs credit, I shouldn't be dropping them and Megs should not have to be engineer an idiot proof bottle. Maybe its because of the shape and weight of the bottle that causes them to naturally fall bottom first? I'm not complaining, it's just rather annoying. If the top cracked, that would be fine...but the bottom means everything leaks out.

FWIW, I still think the sprayers are some of the best I have ever used. When possible I try to re-use old bottles just to have the sprayer.

Yeah, I dropped a bottle of QID, it leaked a little but I got it into another QID bottle in time.

I keep tons of extra consumer line bottles and sprayer heads on hand. I also reuse QD bottles to put LT in to use that as a ckay lube. 1:1 of course.

I had that problem with the NATURAL SHINE and the QUIK DETAILER, it leak every time you turn it upside down. Or going to turn it upside down.

All of the above listed products use virtually the exact same bottle and design...
