  • Griots?

Yesterday on the way home I drove past Griots Auto Care, which I have never heard of or seen before, did a U-turn and crossed my fingers hoping there would be a Mecca of Megs in there, turn out its their own line. Everything seemed well packaged and a little on the expensive side, I held back from buying anything, but wanted others take on this line, I saw Rasky did a small test spot with some of their wax a while back, and a litte about their DA. Just curious.

Griot's is good stuff. They're definitely on the expensive side, but some of their stuff is worth it. They have some unique items that I've found to be really handy. They're generally a mail-order company but have recently opened some stores (I think they're based of Washington) and now they're selling they're products through autogeek as well. Most of their products are geared towards cars that are in really good shape so I don't think a lot of pro detailers use their stuff.

        Griot's makes some amazing products.

You need to turn around and go back and buy a ton of their Microfibers, Speed Shine, and their Clay!!!

They are very expensive, but I really like them.

Mega you should not have brought that up. I did see some MF's and Waffle Weaves. I guess you sold me on it, i will go back, one of the MF's was the size of a beach towel!

+1 for the MFs, they're some of the best I've tried, especially their drying towel. It's huge and it works great.

As the others have stated Griots is rather expensive but several of their products are unique and worth looking at. I've purchased a number of items online and been pleased with the results.

Get their speed shine and waterless wash too.

I like it better than UQD.

I was wondering has anyone tried their newer D/A polisher and how it rates to any other dual action polisher out there? Just curious...

                  thanks!

NO! Don't get their "Polisher" but they have great products....

Definitely good towels, Clay, Spray Detailers, etc.

I have both the Griot's Garage 3" and 6" dual action buffers. The smaller one polishes hard to reach places and wheels. It is also outstanding for polishing headlights. I have had the 6" for about 2 years and the 3" for about a year. Both have worked very well and I have had no problems.

I've heard extremely good things about Griots. I've seen a lot of people mention their detailing brush. Apparently it is great for aggitating wheel cleaners.

Their "Polishers" are just standard orbital polishers that have no power or speed, but they charge the same as the G110. But, their products are outstanding...

                              Re: Griots?

Most Griot's enthusiasts are Ferrari owners. Truthfully, I believe that one should use a car care product that more reflects the price range of their vehicles. Using some some premium products on a car that has a market value of around $10,000 is simply a waste.
