Yup I didn't mean to sound too rude I just have strong feelings on the subject and didn't want to turn this into a huge debate on speeding. I go to many other sites so their trends tend to leak over when I visit sites like this one, which this forum is very, very tame.

Actually my signature is probably more ironic that an oxymoron... I'm not sure, I'm no English major haha

On modern Ka band radar, the Vette can only be picked up at a little bit over 500 ft.
The same applies to an '05 or '06 GTO with the fiberglass hood. I have tested this myself with mutliple runs against a Stalker Dual SL Ka band radar. A typical mid-sized sedan can be clocked at about 1500 ft. Trucks and SUVs can be clocked at one mile plus with the same radar. Radar signature varies a lot from vehicle to vehicle.
This is very very interesting! I never thought about that as much. I wonder how my car turns up on that signature rating...

Honestly I'm really disappointed with the cops around my area now that I have a radar detector. Since I've moved back to AZ in February, I've only seen 2 officers that had radars activated in their vehicles. This saddens me as AZ has become dependant on their stupid traffic cameras.

It frustrates me to see construction signs here saying "Fines double" and they're not really enforced. And I see everyone around me doing about 70 in a 45 MPH construction zone just an hour ago on my way home.

Don't get me wrong, I like speeding, but I respect others as well. Construction workers and school zones I don't mess with. Other places and times, I have my fun.

Really, I'd love to see more people being pulled over for the smaller things which, in my opinion, matter more than speeding does. For example, lane changing without signaling, that could cause an accident. Why don't officers pull people over for that? Seriously come on. :/

So... with a laser jammer covering my front and back plates, and a radar detector, I should be in good hands right?

Agp, you live in Jersey and you are probably not far from me. You are starting to play with fire on those issues. One thing I learned early on: Don't mess with Jersey cops.

No, none of those things will really put you "in good hands." It just provides a false sense of security. If you want to buy them and it makes you feel "protected," then by all means buy them. However, do not convince yourself that they will guarantee you will never get in trouble for speeding.
