Re: Rules For Passengers (If they're allowed)
I man the doors for the ladies. So the armrest (and door) problem is only from the dudes.
I don't think power window locks were available on the 92 Caprices; and I haven't came up with a good solution, yet.

Re: Rules For Passengers (If they're allowed)
Always open and close the door for women whether it's your wife, gf, mother, sister, niece, co-worker (eliminates the whole arm-rest thing). I even hold their purse or other bag while they get in, eliminating accidental bag-dings. Meantime you score points for being a gentleman
Lock the power windows (eliminates them lowering without permission)
No eating anything that crumbles or has sauce that could drip. I try to discourage any eating in the car by patiently waiting for my passenger to finish whatever they're eating before entering the car. And I never use drive thru windows. If someone wants to eat, we park the car and sit down inside.
Drinks must be covered and placed in the cupholder when not being used.

Here's a FEW of mine.
Don't lean/sit on the car
agreed
Don't sit things ON the car
agreed
No tyre touching
never had that problem
Don't eat/drink/smoke in the car
I'm a hypocrite. I can smoke in my car, no one else can
Don't ever slam the door
strongly agreed
Don't wear rings
not an issue for me-never caused a problem
Don't sit ANYTHING on the dash
never had an issue there
No feet on the door sill panel while entering/exiting (that's a big one)
a bit AC on that one, I really can't see myself asking people to not do that.
Don't kick the door open/ don't kick it shut
that would be the LAST time that person would get in any of my cars
Keep your feet on the floor mats
strongly agree
Do not use the kick panel as a foot rest
never had an issue there
Now the specific ones
Shut the door with the designated door pull, NOT the armrest
again, hard to ask people not to do that
Get my permission before opening a window
agreed
Don't turn off my music for a loud and stupid cell phone conversation
that would be one rude passenger!
Break one and you'll get banned from my car, and I won't even throw you change for the bus.
Yep, I'm pretty much crazy with a bit of OCD.

It's either a$$ or cash...but no one rides for free. Swear I didn't read that on a bumper sticker somewhere...
