I cant believe I didn't put anything about seatbelts in my list.

If you shut the seatbelt in the door, I'll shut YOU in a heavier door.
& I have very heavy doors.

Haha some of these are hilarious! honestly I dont have to many rules besides be very gentle with everything.

-wipe dirt off your shoes, if they are muddy they are coming off and in the trunk in plastic bags
-no feet on the dash or windows
    -no touching the windows
    -no smoking
-be carefull with the seatbelt, no throwing it around!
-open and close the door with your hands not your feet
    -no slamming doors
-do not change my radio station or cd
    -no changing the temp.
-dont roll down windows without asking
-no jumping around (for my little sister and friends)
-always take trash out of the car that you brought in, I hate when they put trash in the little door pocket!

Thats all I can think of now, guess that is more than I thought! what have you guys done to me? haha I actually dont have a no food rule, but always try to avoid it when possible, but sometimes you get really hungry on long drives and need something to keep going

    Here's a FEW of mine.

    Don't lean/sit on the car
    agreed
Don't sit things ON the car
    agreed
    No tyre touching
    never had that problem
    Don't eat/drink/smoke in the car
I'm a hypocrite. I can smoke in my car, no one else can
    Don't ever slam the door
    strongly agreed
    Don't wear rings
not an issue for me-never caused a problem
Don't sit ANYTHING on the dash
    never had an issue there
No feet on the door sill panel while entering/exiting (that's a big one)
a bit AC on that one, I really can't see myself asking people to not do that.
Don't kick the door open/ don't kick it shut
that would be the LAST time that person would get in any of my cars
Keep your feet on the floor mats
    strongly agree
Do not use the kick panel as a foot rest
    never had an issue there

    Now the specific ones

Shut the door with the designated door pull, NOT the armrest
again, hard to ask people not to do that
Get my permission before opening a window
    agreed
Don't turn off my music for a loud and stupid cell phone conversation
that would be one rude passenger!

Break one and you'll get banned from my car, and I won't even throw you change for the bus.
Yep, I'm pretty much crazy with a bit of OCD.

    Share your rules

I'd like to add that if your passenger rolls their window up, don't "override" them by lowering it to the point it was initially at. Some people don't like wind blowing in their face. I have bad allergies and don't want pollen and dust blowing in my face]

    FOOD FOR THOUGHT
As much as we all love our cars... most of us live in the real world... we have wives, partners, kids, dogs etc etc and know that some of your rules are just impractical.
I would hate to think what a 6hr drive with kids would be like if they were not able to have drink, food, toys in the car.
The whinning would be intollerable....at the end of the day it does not take much to pull out the vacumn and the buffer... if you get the kids on the vacumn then they will start to appreciate the work that goes into keeping a car in good condition.

I also do whatever I can to get out of driving if one of my potential passengers is a smoker. Even though most smokers will not even ask to light up in my car, their clothes still reek of nicotine and I have cloth upholstery

I even went as far to ask one friend to put his jacket in the trunk because it smelled so bad. Then I deodorized the trunk after I got home. No offense to any smokers on MOL, but the odor of nicotine gives me a mild headache.

To keep it simple. The only thing that enters the car is you. Your hands only touch the door handle to get in and out and the seat belt to put it on.

I hardly ever carry passengers, so I don't have any rules. In my car, I do as I please!

Most people I know sit on the seat then swivel themselves into the vehicle. Before they swivel in, I ask them to tap there feet together. This knocks off outside the vehicle any dirt sand etc. In the grooves in the bottom of their shoes.
