I have by no means taken my detailing to an "expert" level but ever since i can remember i have loved to clean cars. When i work with cars it doesnt feel like work to me, its something i love to do. Isn't that the american dream? I want to know how or why you got into this and what you have done to make yourself sucsessful.

Re: Why do you Detail?
Hmmmm
I work in a jail and live in 4 walls for 12 hours a day for 3 and 4 days a week. I love to be outside doing stuff outside of 4 walls. I get caged animal syndrome a lot.....
Seen as I pay a premium for our cars, I like to keep them clean and always have. But since coming to this site I really am OCD about the cars. Our house is a mess but our cars stay pretty clean.
I like that I can make my cars shine and people notice and have gotten a couple of side jobs in the meantime.
It's very gratifying and really gives me something to do besides lay on the couch and eat chips watching t.v.
It keeps me organized too, at least my Meguiar's products are perfectly organized but the rest of the house is cluttered "where are my car keys!"
It's very rewarding to look at our cars and see them in nice shape! Our Yukon has 137,000 miles and doesn't look it! I shock people when I tell them it's a '00 and has that many miles on it. Not a stain in the carpet or major flaw in the paint. We have harsh winters and hard to keep it clean in the winter and living in a rural area, I keep busy. Our Neon has 62,000 miles and looks brand new still, people love the Orange Blast paint and I have been asked if it's custom paint.
It's fun.Philippians 2:14 - Do all things without grumbling or questioning,
