Ultra Spoke Wheel brush, the closest thing

I picked up this Wheel spoke brush from Auto Zone today hoping it will be as good as the discontinued Ultra Spoke Wheel Brush by Meguiars. I needed something that reached deep into the wheel and this was the best they had . It was only 4.99 , so if it dosent work well and causes marring then in the garbage it goes.

The bristles on the brush feel a little to hard if you know what i mean. But then again, this is used for cleaning the inside of a wheel covered in brake dust.


hopefully this brush will last me at least a little while until I can get my hands on the Meguiars version of this brush. I just discovered a couple more PBE stores in my area and maybe they have some older Meguiars goodies.

I will update this thread with more info on this product the next time I wash my truck.

I use a similar one from Target made by the Vroom Company, it is a little thicker than that.

Good wheel brushes are tough to find.... for the face as well.

Seen the Daytona one online, but seems quite expensive.

I bought that exact wheel brush and it broke the first time I used it after 3 wheels! I guess the slight flexing of the metal wire that attaches to the plastic handle fatigued it and it snapped right at the handle. Not sure if mine was defective or if it just couldn't stand the chemicals I was using with it at the time (WB diluted 6:1).

local Dollar General has two left from what I know. They told me that it was a special buy from last year, LOL.

I had this guy, and it broke after 4 uses..............
The wire is very weak, so don't bend too much. I like the SM Arnold Professional Spoke Wheel Brush from ADS. On sale for $5.49, but doesn't flex.
