There are serious detailers and then there are SERIOUS detailers
Re: There are serious detailers and then there are SERIOUS detailers
Cool. That's a neat looking S2000, I wonder where he got it? I've thought about doing something similar to that to my 1967 Ford Mustang GT 500 model car. It looks a lot like the one pictured below. It's got a fully detailed engine, opening doors and trunk, and chrome wheels with a "real" suspension system.

OMG! That is awesome Mike!
I used to wet sand and polish my model cars. I had the luxury of a body shop in my back yard with a paint mixing system. Even tried chopping the top on a '39 Chevy Coupe once....turned out okay I guess. To bad I decided to take a BB gun to all my cars one day....

Our model cars saw a lot worse fate than a BB gun...
Building model cars and painting them and reading hot rod magazines is actually what led to a passion for cars... that would be back in 4th grade...
Riding on a bus to school and driving by a blue, oxidizing 1937 Chevy Coupe rusting away in a wide-open field all by it's lonesome self also had a strong effect.

I'm sorry, not to bash anyone, but anyone who puts that amount of energy in a toy has issues. They should spend that time on their actual vehicles.
To each their own, that's one of the freedoms America offers its citizens. To each their own as long as it's legal. Collect stamps or build a fire breathing hot rod and have respect for individualism. Like the old saying goes...
Different stokes for different folks...
Some of these guy invest a lot of time and energy into creating some very cool model cars that showcase not only their patience but their talent.

not to get off topic but did you like the latest movie
Are you referring to "Die Another Day"? I thought it started off strongly but quickly became the worst of the Pierce Brosnan Bond movies. Egads, an invisible car? Brosnan deserved much better scripts than he got. But don't get me started.
I really like the new Daniel Craig movies.
