UPS says delivered but no package!!!

So I ordered a few hundered dollars worth of stuff from ADS last week, including a gallon of the new M205. UPS has always been to my place just before lunch with my deliveries. Because of the cold I have been leaving a note on the door to place the package inside. Yesterday he was right on time, and he left my Autogeek order inside the door as asked.

So this morning, not wanting my M205 left out in the cold, I placed the note on the door again. I also left the delivery guy a nice x-mas card with some $$$ in it, after all he had delivered several packages to me over the last couple weeks, and it is the Holidays.

So I get my delivery notice via email, right on time as always. I come home for lunch to find no packages (there were two), the card is still on the door and there was no evidence of delivery in the fresh snow....


So where is my package???

UPS is not taking calls...

I happened to catch a UPS guy at a neighbors house but he said another guy would have delived mine. He was nice enough to call him and ask about it. The other guy said he delived 2 packages to my address...I said well they are not there at he didn't take his x-mas card...



I look around at some neighboring homes but didn't see anything....I don't know what to do.

Well that stinks!

Unfortunately there is probably not a whole lot you can do other than call Rick at ADS, and then he will probably get in contact with UPS. Then you just wait and see what happens from there.

Yeah, it's best to call up ADS. Usually, the shipper is the one who files a claim if the package is stolen.

Just curious, does the UPS tracking page say who signed for it?

Don't need to sign for them.

The UPS guy I talked to said the driver would come back later....but if he already delivered it I don't know what that will do. I'm guessing it was placed at the wrong address.

I'll call Rick if it's not there when I get home.

I'm sorry to hear that, usually UPS just drops everything off at my doorstep and unless the sender requests it, no sig required. Your the second person today that didn't get their shipment that I've seen. Hopefully it will turn up for them...

I have a problem with UPS. Every other package that I'm supposed to get, get's delivered to a neighbor.......without being signed for!!! One was left, and the house keeper called me when she saw that the name and address were wrong. There was 300.00 in supplies in the box too!

How can they do this???

I assume they have a set route for each driver right??? Assuming this, the guy was out at my house yesterday and last Friday. Both items were placed inside the house as asked. Seems odd he wouldn't recognize a common address. I know I remembered addresses when I used to deliver pizza. I knew right away which house tipped well as soon as the order came in!

I'm talking with Rick now...I know he will make things right, but it really shouldn't be on his shoulders IMO.

Ask the driver if he saw any Christmas cards, chances are he probably delivered to the wrong place. At least then you'll know if he didn't take the card with the cash then he probably didn't get to your home.

Hmmm... I'm off to your neighborhood to do some driving around the block. See if I can find me a nice present.

Good luck Rasky! I'm sure with the Christmas rush it ended up at the wrong house. I would think UPS would make it right, pretty sure they typically do. If you have too many lost packages they will quit delivering without a signature.

Man Rasky, I'm sorry to hear that. I know that has to be an awul feeling. But I'm sure Rick and UPS will both make it right one way or another. Try not to stress to much over it.

Well my roommate called and said the UPS guy came back around and said he delivered it to the neighbors house by mistake.

When I came home at lunch that was the first place I looked and it was not at their door.

Hopefully they brought it in right away. I'll stop by their house right after work to verify.
