  • Vertigro Turns Algae Into Biofuel

I was just wondering if any of you have seen this and what your thoughts were or info you may have seen. Wondering if these claims are true?

    This was covered on CNN.

Looks like a genius idea... just a couple of problems to overcome...

As much as I hate to say it, there are also good things that are coming about with high fuel costs.

I was just reading this article... Bill Gates' investment firm is funding Sapphire Energy, a company that intends to make auto fuel from algae.

Looks like a promising alternative. There was no mention at the final cost per gallon . I would expect it would be considerably cheaper.

I read about this process in Pop Sci and it got my attention. As Mike says their are some technical challenges to overcome.

As the price/gal goes up, pressing coal might be better until the algae process is refined.
