Sorry to hear man. It is rough, I have lost a lot of family in my 27 yrs. It is not easy especially when they are close to you. I like to think it helps build your character and molds you into the man you become.

Hey Ryan sorry to hear about your grandfathers.
Like Mike said, we have up and downs. That's life, a obstacle one after the other that we have to overcome.
Keep your head up man.

Re: Need something to cheer me up...
Ryan,
I'm very sorry to hear about your grandfathers. I'm sure your dad will find another job, when one door closes another one opens.
As for yourself, try not to let sadness keep you from enjoying your senior year. This should be one of the best times of your life.
Mike

Sorry to hear about that Ryan, just like Mike said stay positive we all know that God has a plan for all of us and that everything happens for a reason. I'm sure your dad will be able to get even a better job than what he's had for the longest time. Take it easy.

Stay positive... life is a series of hills and valleys that we all have to pass over, you don't stay on the hills or high points forever but you also don't stay in the valleys or low points forever either...
When things look bad... count your blessings... you'll find you have plenty of things to be thankful for and this can help keep all the other things in the right perspective...
Hang in there...

Need something to cheer me up...
Well today seemed like it should have been the best day of my life, start of senior year. Turns out it wasn't so great. I woke up to hearing that my grandpa is going down hill fast. He's been in the hospital for about a week now and has stage 4 (the worst) lung cancer. He also has lip cancer and brain cancer. He can't eat or drink and his kidney's are failing so the end is very near. Lesson learned, don't smoke.
About two weeks ago, I lost another grandpa to lung cancer. He did not smoke, one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He was a admiral in the Navy. The cancer diagnosis and death came within 1 month.
Then I come home today to learn that my dad was laid off from the same job he's been doing for 23 years now with the same company. The company can't afford the upper end managing positions. Luckily, since my dad was so high up in the company, he will probably have a better chance of getting a new job then most of the people, but its still hard to hear.
