well, i'm replacing my tires as it way pass the tread indicator plus the second hand prices were also half of the price of a new ones. So I just go for new tires instead.

Well, my place here, its very popular to buy second hand tyres imported from Japan. They even sold tires that reached the tread indicator and what the sellers (some) do, they use heat blades (the thingamagic thats like a razor blade to make treads on monster trucks) and make the treads deeper. Get what I mean...scary

My dad has not bought a new set of tires in I don't know how long.

Out of the 12 tires on the 3 cars, I can only see 2 numbers! They are on the right side of my Mustang. The left side has the numbers on the inside because they are directional, and the trucks have them all on the inside on the blackwall.

Hmm, my date code spot is blank. I don't think my tires have been out too long so they can't be too old.

    This is so true!!
But again Joe, we Latinos don't like to follow the rules (not everyone is like this) and breaking the speed limit with a dangerous tire could put yourself, your family and other people in danger.

1607. Made just about a month before I bought them.

I feel better now. Actually, I replaced the tires last year because a.) I was due, and b.) one of the treads was actually being separated from the tire! Scary stuff.

Yeah, my '64 Chevy Truck has some old tires on her and has been parked for 3 years......and I'm a poor indian lad (sorry, no casino cash flowing here, I was adopted).

I was happy when not only they all matched, but those awesome white spoke wheels to boot !!!!

I used a lot of used tires growing up.

I have never had and I don't know anybody that has ever had a blow out.

My 64 Riviera has tires on it that are 17 years old!

I guess better safe than sorry.

Yeah, I have to get under the car to check the Left side, and underneath both trucks to check all of those!

Luckily mines at 9th week of 2008 (numbers - 0908) and the writings are only on one side only.
