Re: Top Gear
Cool Nice to know your enjoying the show. Its got more comic as the years go by, its funny and entertaining. Some of the best bits have to be the Africa special, and the race across London with - James in a Merc, Hammond- cycles, Stig- trains, and Clarkson via speed boat. (Hammond's swearing is hilarious if you have seen it)
I dont know much about torrents bits? how does that work i would really like to watch some of them again but the BBC will not allow it to remain online.
I believe the views on American cars are probably due to old technology or poor quality interiors tend to be the described downfalls. European cars have to be off good quality as we pay a lot more for cars here.

I just watch the show because they do test the car, they give some interesting facts.
They do bash American cars, I agree with you guys on this, I also remember that they loved the new vette, they even said "maybe the Americans are now teaching us how to do a super car"
But I do understand the point of view that they have.

Re: Top Gear
The American Special was funny in that it showed their gross lack of understanding of the American culture, but the African Special was just amazing!! Talk about an adventure!!

Re: Top Gear
Nice to see you guys also have Top Gear on tv. Overhere in Holland we watch it right away on the BBC. I really love the program! There are a lot of people that don't like the program because it has the English humor and they always trash cars and that is also what makes the program! I don't care about how much headroom I have in the rear of a Prius, hell I don't care about a Prius at all!
About the american cars... They compare them to german and italian cars and then it's easy to see the interior isn't at the same level and the suspension is very different between european and american cars. But hey who cares, they make a great program with a lot of humor! I don't know if you guys have seen the American special (2 seasons ago I think) and the African special (you still have to see) well, all I can say..

One of my friends dad is trying to get the Audi RS6 Avant imported to the US for himself. Just to replace his 08 Mercedes Station Wagon. Same guy with the A8 W12...

Re: Top Gear
I'd like to test drive a Crossfire sometime.. i've driven the Audi TT and the 350z (roadster)... by all means out of the 2, the 350z had the POWER... the TT was true around the corners.

Everybody remembers when he said the Crossfire Coupe looked like "a dog making a poo" but nobody remembers him, a year later, saying he'd have the Crossfire Roadster over the TT and 350Z.
And, yes, the above post was written by the proud owner of a Crossfire Roadster!!

Re: Top Gear
I download all the shows via bit torrent just after they air in the UK. The show mentioned here I assume was on BBC America so it would be the first installment of the last series that aired over there. The "real" new episodes don't start up again until sometime this summer.
The other British car show, Fifth Gear, is currently being aired in the UK and I download that as well. On yesterday's show they drove the new Nissan GT-R and the Audi RS6 Avant - that's the twin turbo V10 station wagon. Now THAT's how you get groceries!!
