  • Security Cameras?

    Hey all...

Well I don't know if you remember this thread (http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20763), but it happened again to the truck this time. Who ever did it also flipped all the breakers on the house off. So we've decided to get security camera's because there's no way were fitting 3 cars in the garage (too much junk). Any body else out there have security camera's that are a good brand and you like?

    Re: Security Cameras?

Panasonic has a variety of "Network Cameras". We have two, one of which is wireless. Sometimes a little tough to setup, depending on your router, but your stuff is visible from any internet location, and they have included surprisingly good recording software, also.

Well here's a little more information... for a little over $200, you'll know who did it next time!

I bought this one on 12/21 for $199 - no shippng! It is really very nice - read the reviews towards the bottom of the page.

            Re: Security Cameras?

Yea, finding out who's doing it is going be very hard unless we catch them red handed. My brother drove the Jeep and Ford for two years in high school, I drive the Jeep and Ford in high school right now, my dad drives the Jeep and Ford. So it's really hard to pinpoint who it could be. We know its none of my brothers or my friends because they're too nice to do it and we just know they wouldn't. And it's obviously people that think they're just joking because if they were really mad at one of us they would have done worse things to the cars (key, slash the tires, etc.). As most of you can tell as well, I'm a nice guy and am not mean to anybody at school so nobody's out for revenge. Some body just thinks its a funny thing to do but it's not....

Good luck in catching them Ryan. It is a bad form of fun, if that is all it is. I agree you are a nice guy, can't imagine you having enemies out there. You are right it would be much worse if it was anger driven.

How did they get in your house to turn the breaker off?

Sit in the bushes at night next to the car dressed up like a Predator, and when they come up to the car, make the clicking noise and jump out at them. They will probably never come around again...

Seriously though, I hope you figure out who is doing it. Get them for will-full destruction/damage.

                    Re: Security Cameras?

While security cameras are good. I would look into installing some really bright lights around the property on motion detectors. Also LOCK YOUR FUSE BOX!

I have a few friends who have had some pretty impressive security systems put in. While they do have full time cameras over the property, hardened door and so forth, they all have really, really bright lighting that turns on whenever you walk around the perimeter of the property. If you are going to toss a few hundred dollars at home security, that is the route I would go.
