well octane pretty much makes your gas less explosive. now you say "awwww thats bad" well see if you use a gas that will not predetonate you can compress it more in the cylinder which equals bigger boom! if you use higher octane
it wont do much as mike in orange was saying. now on the other hand you can go to a shop and tune your car to run at higher pressure by delaying the trimming(i believe) and adding a octane booster that can make it go from 91 to 109. This a rather in expensive way to boost horse power, just make sure you dont get carried away and blow your engine. now im not a mechanic so correct me if im wrong someone.
