    Re: anyone follow NHL Hockey?

my bad iforgot buffalo made it that far. but still they couldn't finish.

Sens are the worst choke team for sure.

an awesome series will be Sens and Pens or Devils and Bolts.

I agree with yo tp about the trap. But the last couple of years, including the Cup year we tend to fare pretty well against the devils. that there are some very good opening round pairings this year.

the West is going to be some good series.

Goalie vs. goalie with Vancouver and Dallas.

if Calgary turns it up, it'll be interesting.

but best series Sens vs Pens and Devils and Bolts.

i can't wait. we'll see how it goes thoguh. you never know.

          Re: anyone follow NHL Hockey?

ok....let's look at the facts THIS season...Sabres score 300 goals...most goals per game for the year...highest shooting percentage....8 20 goal scores, 3 30 goal scorers, 4 lines that can score at will, Coach of the year, oh, and the Presidents cup winner, solid defense and goal tending...not sure what Sabres team you all have been watching this year but they will have absolutely NO problem with whoever they face...Islanders sneek into the playoff and who do they have to face first ??...they would have been better off not getting in...we would have loved to see a Sabres / Leafs series instead...they did a good job on Montreal but it wasn't enough...Pittsburgh ?..sorry Murr but you probably won't get past Ottawa and if you do, who do you face ?...not someone you want to...one thing is for sure, it will be fun to watch...so pay attention, as the speed is what kills other teams...Sabres are the beast of the East and no one will get in their way....

anyone that follows the NHL knows that regular stats mean NOTHING.

            Proof 1: Edmonton in 2006

Proof 2: San Jose beating favourites Detroit in 7 when Detroit were President Cup winners and yada yada yada...

            going to be sweet.

you wont find a bigger Pens fan than I am.... but to be honest I will be happy with anything 2nd round or later. They are young and will be cup contenders for the next decade.
I am such a big fan I had my Vette painted to match , had it on the ice at Mellon arena and had mario sign it

                Western Conference Predictions

Detroit v.s Calgary - DETROIT - i'd love to see Calgary win but goalie might be an issue

Anaheim v.s Minnesota - Anaheim - Too big, too strong. PRONGER.

Vancouver v.s Dallas - Dallas - Top to bottom a better team. But Turco may chock and Canucks go on.

Nashville v.s San Jose - Sharks. Thorton is hunting for Cup.

                Eastern Conference

Buffalo v.s New York Islanders - New York in upset. Purely for there has to be one upset this year. But don't get me wrong, I do believe Buffalo will win this series.

New Jersey v.s Tampa Bay - New Jersey Money for goalie. Broduer.

Atlanta v.s New York Rangers - Rangers

Ottawa v.s Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh Young willed and determined.

                what are yours.

wow...well, the upset that there "has to be" won't be Buffalo...man to man, they stack up better against any team...time will tell...let me put it this way...I've watched the Sabres for the last 35 years...this is the best team ever assembled in this city...#1 seeds do get knocked out, no question about that...but this team is too talented, too well coached, too focused and too determined to accept anything but what their goal has been all year..they were one game away last year when no one gave them any chance...and that was with 4 out of 6 defensemen out of the lineup...If the Isles score 10 goals in the entire series it will be a lot....Sabres in 4 (5 would be an upset )

as for the other matchups, I love Ottawa, Tampa, Atlanta, Nashville (Predators / Sabres in the finale), Vancouver, Minnesota and Detroit (at least we agree on one !!)

                  GOTTA LOVE PLAYOFF HOCKEY !!!

Spot on. I think the series of the first round is the Dallas V.S. Vancuver... they are very even and should be great.

On another note, I am going to the Ducks game tonight!!! I have yet to miss any of their playoff games in history!

                      Playoff Hockey is the best.

I grew up in Buffalo (Tonawanda) and I agree. This team is the best ever and should go deep into the playoffs. Good luck and see you in the finals.

man i was so disgusted to be a Canadian last night.

                              it was sick.

i mean the Sens fans are the most ignorant of all. first they're all Canadian and then they're booing one of Canada's top players for the future in Crosby every time he touches the puck. doesn't happen any where else but Ottawa.

then they'll go cheer him for the Olympics and World Championships. BS!!!

they should be ashamed of themselves. i was.

                              good games though last night

                              already with the OTs. WOW!!!

I think at some point in every fans life comes that time when you're embarassed to be a fan...it happens here in Buffalo too where the fans are as rabid as any in the world...We're getting our asses handed to us one night so Ruff pulls Miller and puts in Conklin and everyone cheers when he makes a routine save...all I can say is that those people aren't "true" fans...they're on the bandwagon when things are going well and jump off the minute the team hits a slump...you're not alone believe me...

                                Quadruple overtime ugh....
