Here is a quote from a car forum I regular.

Optimum Polishes DO NOT DUST AT ALL! They don't dry out either. You could work it all day and it'll never dry out on the car.....which means that it is so easy to remove after you machine polish.

Optimum Spray wax is a sealant......not like any other spray wax. I personally think that it's better of a wax than Megs NXT. It lasts longer, it's the same price, it applies easier, you can take it off easier, AND you can spray it on your black trim and it won't turn white. Optimum actually says that it's a good cleaner for the black plastic trim.

You apply it like any other spray wax....just spray it on and wipe it off. No waiting to dry.

I guarantee that if you use these two products, you will swear by them also!

I use Optimum for all my details. I can turn a car around so much faster.

They also sell "NO RINSE" wash soap. It is enviromentally safe and cuts washing time down. Just wash a car with it and dry it. It will not harm the vehicle in any way.

Meguiars and Dupont are trying to figure Optimum's formulas out, but they are having a hard time getting it right.

Ice has come close....but still no cigar.

If you wanna check them out, you can see all their products here.

I went to Optimum web site and they were founded in mid 2001. I just found it unlikly the Meguiars and Dupont are tring to figure out these formulas.

I found this to be some funny reading.
You left out licking the water off. Oh, wait a minute, that's my cat, not my car. Uh, I mean my cat licks himself dry. I don't lick my cat dry. Or my car. -PC.

Opinions, everyone has one! I have seen a lot of reviews on Ice on other car forums and they haven't been all that great. When someone gets on a car forum and asks for detailing recommendations, the answers usually are either Meguiars or Zaino.

Well I had asked him where he had heard about Meguiar's and DuPont tring to figure out Optimum's formulas and this was his reply.

          How likely is that?

Without even asking anyone at Meguiar's, we can assure you this NEVER took place.

I think he is just back peddling--I have talked to david before and *never* would something like that come out of his mouth.

The new Meguiars SOLO is the same concept as his polish, but so are several other "one polish" systems on the market.

I really wouldn't pay it too much attention....

                  Just my 2 cents,
I wasn't that impressed with thier spray on wax, it's a WOWO product. I much prefer the meguiars waxes/sealants. I am however impressed with their polishes, IMO they are very easy to work with.

I spoke with Mike Phillips today and told him that when somebody asks me about some new flavor-of-the-month product, I always mention that Meguiar's has been around since 1901.

Barry, you need to help me out here. Please stop using logos that look like July, 2006!

Only one word for statements of any reputable company trying to duplicate another company's "formula" MORON!

Dupont has labs capable of determining the chemical composistion of a single cell. Taking a full bottle of "Brand X's" product, rendering the super secret formula, and reproducing it in marketable amounts would be of little effort in the world of molecular chemistry.

We do run into concepts of trademark and patent issues however. I. E. Dupont has lawyers that would slap them for even attempting to duplicate someone elses product
