Don't you just hate it when...
After spending the day detailing your ride, the idiot in the car in front of you decides to use his windshield washers and sprays all over your new shine. I was on the freeway this morning, stuck in traffic and you guessed it!!

Can't say that's happened to me... but once at a car show, this guy that was parked next to me decided to stand by my car and throw water all over his stupid girlfriend that was wearing a bikini for some reason. I grabbed a towel and marched over there and proceeded to wipe down my car while giving them an earful of what I thought of them. They then let their (I'm assuming) little brother lean against my car, which they got another lecture on. I hate disrespectful people like that at car shows, especially when that person is also showing their car. Just another reason why I rarely leave my car for long periods of time at car shows.

Just went to a car show with my brother and sister in law. At one point we had stopped in front of this beautiful Dodge Magnum. The finish was flawless (musta been a Megs user) My Brother in law put his hand on the hood......you know, kinda leaning. I cringed. The owner was there in a heartbeat and politely but sternly told him he didn't appreciate his hand on his car. My BIL was offended and thought the guy was an a__hole. I just kept my mouth shut.

I'm very aware of where other cars are when I need to use my wipers. I try to avoid using it on the highway for this exact case, as you'll probably get the car behind you wet. Some people just don't think about it.

Most people just don't give a **** if they get your car wet when using the wipers, let alone if their door hits your car or whatever. To most of the world, "it's just a car." Unfortunate, but very true.

People at car shows have an annoying habit of reaching into my trunk and touching and pushing down on my painted fiberglass sub enclosures. Very annoying because their icky handprints gets on there, plus I just don't like how hard people push down. I'm not worried about them breaking per se, just curious at what compels people to push down on someone else's sub enclosures at a car show. Next show season I am putting a nice big sign in the trunk telling people to keep their hands away, and if that doesn't work, I think I might resort to roping off my car.

Don't you hate it when the crowd around your car is rubbing up against it with belt buckles, putting their greasy hand prints everywhere, dripping condensation from their cold drinks or possibly even the drink itself into or onto the car as they're leaning over it? This stuff just drives me nuts!!!

Last week we took one of our classics out that I just polished & waxed to a local pizza store. The parking lot was empty and it was late enough that the crowd was minimal. We parked away from everyone and sat by the window while eating so we could keep and eye on the car. Everything looked good until a couple families left their gathering and the kids decided to play tag in the parking lot. They started chasing each other around our car and running their hands across the paint as they used the car's surface to help stop themselves when they changed directions or turn the corner. Then one of the kids started throwing his parents keys at the other kid and they nearly hit our car! Enough was enough and stepped out to talk to the parents, but I ended up being the bad guy because the parents thought I was a jerk and didn't think their kids were doing anything wrong. Their comment was to lighten up because its just a car and the kids weren't hurting it. In the grand scheme of things, yes, it's just a car. But, if I was to scratch their fine china or their front door or refrigerator or kitchen cabinets or granite counters, etc, I'd bet they'd be pretty mad at me if those items were of value to them.

Two nights ago we had another of our cars out that I just finished polishing / waxing and we met some friends at a Mexican restaurant later that evening. While finishing our meal, a crowd had gathered around our cars and people were leaning on the paint with their clothing, leaning on it with their hands as they leaned over and into the interior, dripping condensation or beer & or margarita onto the paint, grabbing the steering wheel and modulating it, etc. As we were leaving, the people around the car made the usual nice comments about the car and especially the paint, etc. One of the people asked how we kept the paint looking so nice. I know what I wanted to say, but we just bit our tongues and smiled as we got into the car and drove off.

One time, once again, at a car show they did group judging. I ended up the hillybilly redneck judges, who stood over my car drinking beer and smoking while judging it. I thought it was very rude to be smoking and dropping ashes onto someone's car, especially if you are a judge. They ended up getting ashes in my trunk and interior of all places, because they liked to point with their cigarettes. Very rude and unprofessional in my mind.

Weeee... I have so many "don't you hate it" stories when it comes to my car. Seems like every time I take it anywhere I get a new "don't you hate it when" story and experience.

Oh, at a NOPI car show these people decided to play football right behind my car and one guy came within inches of crashing into my car while trying to catch a football, and once the ball hit my car. Other people got pissed about this as well, and finally the people were asked to move.

Another thing I hate is people that ride those pocket bikes around at car shows. Most of the time the people are being reckless and not paying attention or going too fast. Some day I know they're just going to crash straight into someone's car. Same goes for skateboarders as well. Come on, it's a car show, can't you handle walking 20 feet?

At other places, like at random car meets or when I'm just out and about I've seen people set their drink cups on my car. Also, I've learned to watch my car closely when the hood is open, because more often than not I find someone with their hands deep in the engine bay if I turn away for a few seconds. I'm always worried that someone will disconnect or steal something.

Back in high school my buddies cars washers were rigged up to hit the car behind him. It would shoot a solid stream straight back to the unexpecting victim. It was funny back then.

I must have some friends with very large hands. I say this because whenever me and some friends hang out in a parking lot, if we are hanging out near my car, there are gigantic handprints from them when they stand around my car.

I handle the door handle/doors themselves like they were made of glass -- so as to keep handprints off my car. I hate having to wipe off other people's handprints, but I'd hate it even more to tell people to open and close the doors with their pinky's.

i hate it even more when you wash your car, and then someone decides to have 80,000 acres of fires around your house and you get an inch of ash in an afternoon all over the car.
