  • Lest we forget...

Its ANZAC day here, where we remember those that served in the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. I know we all have our different days to remember those that died and celebrate the ones that returned, but I'd thought I'd mention today as I missed the Dawn Services, and I remember the feeling last year, my first retired year out of cadets, seeing five kids that I taught taking to the cenotaph. The wreaths, the bugle, the flags at half mast. The President of the sub-branch praying for peace in a time of uncertainty.

So, for all of those that have died in conflict, regardless of the side or nature, I offer the remembrance:
"They shall not grow old, as we who are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn. At the going down of the Sun and in the Morning, We Will Remember Them. Lest We forget."
