I couldn't help but walk over and inspect the finish. Then after seeing how horrendous the swirls were I couldn't help but taking a few photos to share here on the forum.
This is going to hurt your eyes...

I just got home since starting this day at 5:30am. We helped to set-up, take-down and clean-up both the wedding and the reception as well as prepare everything the night before.
I can see the forum has been fairly busy today and I would like to thank all of our regular forum members for helping others by answering posts.

Eveyone deserves a day off. Hope you had a great day Mike
Yeah, but even on his day off, he proves that he can't stop thinking about polishing paint. Want proof? ...note the pics of the horridly swirled Limo instead of the Bride & Groom
I'm surprised he didn't run to his car, grab a G-100 & some products screaming: "No way can I let grandpa be seen in that on his wedding day!!!"
...or did he?

That finish on the limousine looked as bad as some of the local police squad cars on the road! The vinyl top looked a bit dark...was that dirt or just the camera angle?
My wife is fortunate enough to work for a very nice boss (dentist). Every Christmas he takes the staff (7 plus spouses to a fairly expensive restaurant somewhere in the Monterey Bay area.
Each year he rents a limo, usually a Hummer H2, but once was a Ford Expedition (not enough leg room, but good height). Every year it amazes me how poor the quality the paint finish is in. The limo is always washed and clean, but the swirls are horrible.
I would never say anything, as most of the office is clueless as to the true condition of the paint, and I would not want to offend my wife's boss when he's giving us much more than most bosses can or will do.
Just wanted to chime in and say that I understand the feeling.
WoooW.. What a coincidence!!! My cousin got married last Friday. And as a gift, I have rented this Limo to take them for a spin around the city then to the hotel.
It is exactly similar to the one you had Mike. Ours had a black top and an extra door loool. Yours had a white top.
BTW, I have to say here that when the Limo had arrived, and went in myself to check it out from the inside, I was really disappointed with the interior smell. ( It was full of cigarette smoke smell . eghhh ) So, I grabbed my Meguiar’s Car Odor Eliminator ] from my Car’s trunk and started to spray the whole interior and switched the A/C on. Few minutes later, I went inside again and woooow the smell was very pleasant.
Congrats to Lynn's grandfather on his new marriage !!!...that's great to see...
On a side note, I'm always impressed with the pictures you are able to capture of swirls in direct sunlight...is there a "Swirl" setting on your camera Everytime I try to capture a shot like this it's way too bright...can you share some of the settings on your camera or is it all automatic ??
I don't think our stomachs could have handled a black limo !
