Thanks for sharing your opinion and experience with both products.
So do you let this product dry to a haze and then remove it (like a wax/sealant)? Or do you need to wipe it off while wet (like a polish)? I just haven't been exposed to this kind of products yet and I haven't seen any videos of anybody showing how to apply the product. This product has definitely caught my eye but I'm new to permanent paint coatings...
Thanks again!
No. Opti-Coat goes on just like Opti-Seal. You may need to lightly buff some heavy areas to even it out, but for the most part you should only have to apply it and walk away. The pro version of OC cures very quickly and any light buffing is done within the first 15-30 seconds. I apply it one panel at a time and immediately level out and heavy areas using very little to no pressure...basically I just glide the towel over it and that's enough to smooth it out. The consumer version cures slower and has a larger window where you can level things out.
I'll see if I can get a video of the application this weekend as I plan to give my car a spring detail, but time is going to be tight so we'll see.
But I took Optimum Polymer Technology class during Detail Fest and Joe Fernandez (Superior Shine) applied it as a demonstration.
It just became available to public like 10 days ago (version 2.0). Original one had quicker curing time and was only for registered pros.
Once you apply Opti Coat 2.0 is permanently there. The only way to remove it, is to buff it out. The surface has to be in really good shape to lock it.

20cc should be enough for 4-6 vehicles (depending on their size).
That's my dog: white short-haired German Sheppard inside my X3.

One of my friends has a white long-haired german sheppard. I have a chuncky Choc Brown Labrador. And a Labradoodle.
Labradors/ labradoodles are absolutely great dogs.
