Always been curious to this question from the members of this forum. When removing wax, do you guys use Bonnets on the DA, SS Microfibers, or Ultimate Wipes?

I currently use the SS microfiber. I did receive a new (old) Ultimate Wipe from Kevin Brown when he sent me and I tried it out and it is wonderful, may switch to that when money is better to remove wax.Philippians 2:14 - Do all things without grumbling or questioning,

I use both, larger panels I will remove wax with the D/A and a bonnet over a W7006 pad, afterwards I will take a supreme shine microfibre for check up and wipe off leftovers.
My experience says that visual there is a deeper shine when you use a D/A and bonnets both for small area's a SSM is easier to use.

Re: Bonnets, SS Microfiber, or Ultimate Wipe?
I used to use the MF bonnets. Gave such a good look. Guess I just got lazy and thought I would save some time by just using a towel.
Thanks for reminding me though. I have a Bug to do today so I'll give the bonnet a try again.

Can't compete with the prices of the off brands, however. These sell for the old suggested retail.
I do see them readily available online though, so perhaps they can be bought on a blowout deal here and there.
As with most discontinued things, I try to buy as much as I can when the item ceases to be manufactured. So, sometimes they're purchased at 'resale pricing', other times I have to 'work 'em over' for a good price, and other times I have to pay full pop!Kevin Brown

Re: Bonnets, SS Microfiber, or Ultimate Wipe?
This is purely from a personal perspective:
Removal of hazed/dry wax: SS microfiber by hand
Removal of compounds, paint cleaners, polishes: Ultimate Wipe by hand
Removal of any mist & wipe product: SS microfiber by hand
I used to use the bonnets but actually found it more of a hassle than simply hand wiping with a Supreme Shine towel. It seems like the bonnet wrapped over a cutting pad won't conform to tighter areas as well as the finishing pad did when the wax was originally applied so I'd end up having to go back by hand anyway. And since a nice, thin coat of wax is so easy to remove by hand anyway, I just stopped using the bonnets completely.
I like the Ultimate Wipes for removing heavier products as they seem to have a bit more "grab" on the heavier wet residue left by cleaners & polishes.Michael Stoops
