    WTB: PTG Paint Thickness Gauge

    My brand new black car just got its first set of etched water spots. I've accumulated a PC, Pads, and Polishes but I want to get a decent Paint Gauge before I start work.

    Anyone have one for sale?

    On eBay, this is the lowest priced PTG I've seen: Centech 95520

      Excellent. I did some research and it looks like a good option. Kills me to know that Harbor Freight used to sell them for $10 though.

        You should be fine to begin polishing with the PC/DA before you get a paint gauge. Unless you plan on wetsanding and compounding. Have the water spots been on your paint for a very long time?
