There was a moment in time when the world stood silent, united by the horrific destruction unleashed one beautiful blue Tuesday morning upon this country. Since that time, many things have changed as a result – for some more than others – but all of us have seen and felt the changes.

This year we will once again be gathering to remember those who have fallen ... and those who continue to fight as a result.

Come join us for an all muscle car cruise at Ft. Hunt Park on 9-11 to remember those who have fallen … and those who continue to fight as a result.

We will begin gathering prior to 1:30PM, leaving for the Pentagon around 2PM.


The cruise will be followed by a candle light vigil.

Bring out your red, white and blue – light you candles.

DIRECTIONS TO FORT HUNT PARK

From Downtown Washington, DC:

Take 14th Street Bridge south towards Virginia). Take Exit for Mt. Vernon/National Airport; continue past National Airport, through Old Town Alexandria; Fort Hunt Park is 5 miles south of Old Town Alexandria; exit to the right at the sign marked "FORT HUNT ROAD/FORT HUNT PARK".

Beltway from Maryland to Alexandria, Virginia:
Take very first exit after Wilson Bridge (Mt. Vernon Highway); this will put you on South Washington Street; continue for 5 miles; exit to the right at the sign marked "FORT HUNT ROAD/FORT HUNT PARK".

NOTE: George Washington Memorial Parkway, Mt. Vernon Highway, and Washington Street, are all the same road depending on where you are at the moment.

Beltway from Virginia to Alexandria, Virginia:

Take Exit 1 North; go to the first traffic light and take a right on Franklin Street; go about 3 blocks and take a right on South Washington Street; continue for 5 miles; exit to the right at the sign marked "FORT HUNT ROAD/FORT HUNT PARK". We will meet in parking area A.

I have been in touch with the Pentagon today regarding our permit. There is another piece of info they must have, in leiu of increased security, multiple events taking place there on 9/11, Pentagon Force Protection Agency guidelines, etc.

I need to assemble of list of all those planning to attend this event. I must have your full name and the license number from your vehicle. This info must be forwarded to them no later than the 24th of August.

I want to make sure this is done, because if security decides to check us and some are not on the list, people will be denied entry, and that will really ****.

I will PM all who have replied in this thread so you are aware of this. If this does not go through, then an alternate destination will likely be needed. Thanks all.
