  • The Annual Meguiar's MotorEx Show - Australia

    G'day Car Crazy Fans!

It was by chance that I logged onto www.motorex.com.au to see what is to come at our upcoming car show that showcases the most desired custom, modified and collectable cars in Australia.

    Here's some of the pic's:

    I love this angle:

My favourite, this car was by far the best in my opinion, it was not only loooong but a real , oh and super low too!

The definition of the colour and the showcar shine was just superb. I could not for the life of me see any swirls, it was a perfect finish like one would not believe. I even got the chance to pull out my zenon flashlight and assess the finish myself!

i really really tried to tone down the colour orange with this showcase, but i thought i'd let all know that this car was taken without any colour enhancement, it was really, really full of colour. Finish was 200% and i really needed sunnies!

This next car below is 23 karat gold plated, obviously not the whole car, but many parts (i.e. the gold bits hehe)

    And here's the fun!

Guess who's that in the crowd!!

    And the Car Crazy Crowd!

And a very happy Meguiar's Fan.

By the end of the day, the awards ceremony was underway and Barry and I were standing next to each other chatting about the cars of the day to where Car Crazy was off to next. I had a great time, and although I drove 3hours to get to this Car Crazy event, it was well worth it as Barry was making his first Australian car event visit to celebrate 20years of Meguiar's in Australia. Talking and getting to know Barry on a personal level was absolutely awesome, all I can say is that I dont know many company directors with such an awesome passion for their work as a hobby, its just brilliant!

I also found it very hard to believe I was talking to THE Meguiar.

Thanks for making my day Barry, I had a great time and hope you did too. Thanks also for the work you do showcasing to the world and especially to us Car Crazy fans amazing cars that define to the core, the love of cars in our everyday lives. You have been blessed with a gift of connecting with any who come your way - that's no mistake!

    Cheers
    Regards, Wilco

Great post, Wilco, thanks for sharing images from this event.

We know a lot of car guys here in the States will look at these pictures and think "hey, that looks like a typical car how here". That's one of the greatest things about the car hobby - it doesn't matter where in the world you go (and Barry goes to car shows all over the world) there is a very strong commonality among them all. Car guys the world over are just that - car guys!

Yea its a shame hardly anyone in the show was as Car Crazy and Meguiar Crazy as i was during the show. Barry & his car crazy crew MUST have thought i was fixated and stalking them (which i was indirectly =D). Most of the general public didnt know who was the one with a million dollar smile, and the ones that did were glued to following the crew filming!

It's also amazing the amount of time and money spent on these vehicles, something ordinary people just cant come to terms with thats for sure.
