  • Paint Protect and Coin-op Car Wash?

Then "durability" thread is just too darn long and a search didn't answer this.

How does Paint Protect hold up to the harsh chemicals used in a coin-op car wash? I often, especially in winter, take my trucks to the coin-op to get of the big stuff. Same is true when they are covered in mud. I then followup with a carnuba enhanced rinseless wash or a bucket wash using a carnuba enhanced regular shampoo followed by rinsing off with a hose.

For the past couple of years I have been using Ultimate Wax and the above has worked for me. Would Paint Protect work better? Both of my trucks are garaged every night and I typically wax them two or three times a year using Ultimate Wax.

The harsh chemicals are usually found at the touchless wash, where they have to use stronger soaps and cleaners to get the dirt off since there is no manual washing involved. I don't believe that a coin-op has the same heavy detergents as the touchless as I've never noticed a degrading effect on my LSPs when using a coin-op.
