Light Scratches Best Polish By Hand?

Have some light scratches on my neighbors car that you have see at the correct angle in fluorescent light to show up. He asked me what to use. I suggested doing a test spot by hand with a foam pad ( no rotary or da to use ) and either M205 or Ult polish. What product would you recommend? Is one better than the other? Or use something else from the Meg's line? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By hand, I would want some Ult. Compound around....
