  • SwirlX Application In The Sun

I do not have a fully covered garage but my driveway is mostly shady in the morning. It's impossible to get through a full application of SwirlX without sun hitting the car at some point. Are there any negatives to using SwirlX in the sun other than the product drying faster than normal?

    Thanks!

Well the product flashing dry can cause more harm than good. First, you won't have enough time to buff wet thus making it less effective. Next, you run the risk of scratching your paint with the dry product. I'm not sure about this second point as I have no experienced buffing with a hot surface but it was just a thought.

I don't know though because there are mobile detailers that detail in the sun. I don't know how they do it.

Why not break down using SwirlX on different days? Work on as much panels as you can in a day and when you don't get enough shade then do the succeeding ones the next day. That way you're working on the shade all the time.

Also, the sun is ok as long as the surface is cool... so you may be able to sneak by ok still. Or start on the parts that will get sun first...

I have a sun problem also. I have to plan my car washes carefully.

I'm going to try to start as early as possible. The surfaces I would be working on when the sun hits should still be normal temperature when I'm working on them. I guess I'll just make sure to not work on any really hot sections. Hopefully I'll be able to get it all done in one session.

          Thanks for the tips guys.
