I was curious as to what is different in UQW and ULW compared to other waxes as to why they do not stain the trim. Is there any downfall for it not staining the trim? That being said I think it is really cool that those products are available; I use UQW after every wash and have not used ULW because I have M26 but want to give it a try in the future.

I could tell you what's in them that prevents them from staining trim, but then I'd lose my job and I kinda like working here so...........Michael Stoops

Well, at the moment we can't say that all future waxes won't stain trim, but the new Gold Class Carnauba spray wax won't stain trim, and the reformulation of our classic Quik Wax won't either (but the original version did). Of course, Ultimate Wax in paste form can still stain, but that's down to the ingredients that make a paste a paste.

UQW is surprisingly durable. It won't wash off in a single wash, but heavy rain is really hard on any wax/sealant. Still, heavy rain for a day or a week? For a day shouldn't be a problem at all, but for a week...... that's another story. But UQW is so easy to use when drying your car that you might want to get into that habit.Michael Stoops
