  • Following up UC?

So I plan on using UC to remove some light swirls from my wife's DD, but I am a little confused. After an application of UC is is necessary to follow with a pure polish or should I move to a wax? Interestingly, the product advisor skips the polish step, and simply recommends UC (Step 2) and Ultimate Wax (Step 4). Thanks for your advice.

On many cars, the UC will leave a good finish, and you can just wax after.

On occasion, there could be some minor swirls left, and so a milder cleaner like SwirlX or Ult Compound can help remove those.

UC itself especially when done right can leave an already nice finish ready for wax. Yes there may be times when a paint may be a bit on the soft side and require a finer cleaner like ult.polish or swirl x to leave the paint even smoother and shinier, and depending on the color of the paint use a pure polish for an even deeper shine (like dc polish or M07) than wax/sealant
