  • Oils in NXT Spray Booster

    Mike, Tim and others.

When I applied another coat of NXT Spray Booster last night, I noticed how oily it appears when applying it. Could this be part of the reason for the difficulty that I have in getting the product off? Even after letting it dry it, takes three passes with microfiber polishing clothes to insure that I am not driving a "dust collector".

It took me an hour to apply and remove the Spray Booster from my big black Hemi -- body only, no wheels or chrome.

I applied a very thin application of the product with a microfiber covered pad.

    Hey Tom,

That is a good question. I really do not know. But I have found that I have achieved the best results from applying it in VERY thin, even coats. I have also noticed that it becomes more difficult to remove if the temperature is a little cooler.

Perhaps Mike can provide a little more insight. Sorry, I wish I could have helped more.

      Hi Tom,

I can't say that I've ever noticed it to be an oily product?

One thing for sure, it's a good idea to shake this product up well before using and if you're applyint to a large vehicle shake it once or twice during application.

I would call it watery, not oily. I'll second the cold weather problems, I guess...my friend's car had an application of NXT in the fall, and a couple weekends ago we had a break in the weather, so we washed it. I suggested an application of the NXT Spray Wax because we didn't have a lot of time, etc. It was so difficult to get the haze off, I just about got my head handed to me. I thought it was that the base of NXT wasn't really there anymore, but maybe it was the cold weather.

I've found using a product like final inspection to wipe off cuts the removal process at least in half.

The very first time I used the Spray Booster Wax (SBW) I had a little bit of difficulty removing it, but only in a few spots where the coat was too heavy. After that, I never had a problem. I believe that shaking the bottle very well, for several seconds, had something to do with it.
